  1. In his blog, Ben Brown MD imagines that high school teachers work 40 hours a week, and by that measure says that internists make about $5/hour more than the average teacher. Ben Brown MD has never taught high school, clearly.

    • Yeah, the MetaFilter thread got really bogged down in that really bad comparison. But the debt stuff I think is right, based on the young doctors I know.
