  1. Racists don’t need a reason.

    • Considering it’s Biden, Reid and Matthews that seem to be more aware of Obama’s skin color, seems you’re looking at the wrong people to be racists.

When we don’t agree with Obama for his actions, it has nothing to do with his skin color. If he were white, we’d still not agree with him.

Biden is an idiot and he’s white. Reid? Same thing. So darling, it has nothing to do with skin color. Stupidity transcends race.

      • You’re slamming guys who gave the President compliments.
        How logical.

  2. The Tea Party Movement does know what they are angry about. They are angry over the ever increasing government intrusion in our lives. WE have the government pushing stimulus bills that have not created any jobs except for those who belong to unions (the official payback). They are angry about national health care being shoved down our throats. We are mad that Congress, in spite of public disapproval, will still try to ramrod the legislation through. Heck with the public, they’ll do what they want. And despite what Obama says, we will be paying for this for generations.

Obama has has a whole year to work on the job market. Only NOW did it suddenly become a reality to him. But his response? Give businesses tax credits. Friend, if there is no business, no company is going to hire anyone. The economy has to be infused at the public level. If you help the tax payer, he will spend money which in turn will begin the cogwheel of business. Obama’s trying to feed the horse through his ass and we are the one’s getting crapped on.

  3. From the article, “It is why they can freak out about the stimulus bill as 800 BILLION IN PORK when damned near half of it was tax cuts and another 250 billion of it was simply money to prop up holes in state and local budgets.”

  5. @MTR: Shut the fuck up. Seriously. “Increasing government intrusion in our lives”: like a trillion dollar war in Iraq? “National healthcare shoved down our throats”: if you looked at your tax return this year, you’d notice that the average refund for healthcare is $7000 dollars; this is for people who spend money on healthcare but can;t afford it. We’re already paying out the wazoo for people who don’t have insurance. We’re in a totally dysfunctional system, and god forbid someone tries to fix it. “The economy has to be infused at a public level.” Yeah, except, the second dems tried to do something like that, shitasses like you would be up in arms in your fucking three-cornered caps ranting about socialism. You’re a stooge for Roger Ailes and you don’t even know it.

On top of all this, the conservative platform continues to be that Democrats are bleeding heart cry-babies and Republicans are stodgy realists. Whoever says that has never watched Glenn Beck.

  6. Gerry, am I to take this comment thread as evidence that your blog has “arrived,” in some fashion? Unless, of course, MTR is just a relative of yours.

  7. No, I don’t know why this happened. I think perhaps I was an auto-referrer in John Cole’s thread and MTR was feeling cranky. Or maybe I have a high rank on a very particular Google search re: teabagging.

  8. In any event, rest assured this blog remains blessedly unpopular.
